Copy one workspace, or carry it as a file
Duplicate workspace makes a saved copy of any workspace from its menu in the NexaTabs popup. The copy keeps the tabs, notes and bookmarks, and gets a clear name: "Research (copy)", then "Research (copy 2)" for the next one, never "Research (copy) (copy)". The copy starts closed, unpinned and is not your Quick target. If the original uses Accounts (same site · multiple logins), the copy keeps the Accounts setting but not the live signed-in sessions, so you sign in again in the copy where a site asks.
Export workspace saves one workspace as its own JSON file, with its name, tabs, notes, bookmarks and Accounts setting. Use it to keep a copy of one project, move it to another browser profile, or hand it to a colleague who also uses NexaTabs.
Import workspace reads that file and always adds it as a new workspace. It never overwrites or merges into an existing one; if the name is taken, the new one gets an "(imported)" suffix. NexaTabs skips invalid URLs, applies the Accounts site rule when the workspace uses Accounts, keeps at most 500 tabs, and tells you what it skipped.
This is separate from the full backup under Local backups: Export backup saves all workspaces and settings, and Import backup replaces all NexaTabs data after you confirm.
Limitations
Import always adds a new workspace and never merges; up to 500 tabs per imported workspace; the file is plain JSON, not encrypted; logins and live Accounts sessions are not copied.

Does importing a workspace file replace my data?

What does the exported file contain?
The workspace name, colour, tabs, notes, bookmarks and Accounts setting, as readable JSON. It does not contain passwords, cookies or page content. Check the notes before you share the file.
Why were some tabs skipped on import?
Invalid or unsupported URLs are skipped, Accounts workspaces keep only the site they belong to, and an imported workspace holds at most 500 tabs. The toast tells you how many were skipped and why.
