Getting Started

​

First time here? No stress.

​

  1. Install NexaTabs from the Chrome Web Store (or Edge/Opera/Firefox when available).

  2. Pin the extension so you can actually see it.

  3. Click the NexaTabs icon → boom, you're in the popup.

  4. Start creating your first workspace. Name it something real like “Client Projects” or “AI Research”.

That’s literally it. Your browser just got 10x more organized.

How to Actually Use NexaTabs

​

  • Creating & Switching Workspaces: Make a workspace → throw your tabs in → name it → hit Switch. Done. Come back anytime and everything is exactly where you left it.

  • Stash Mode: Too many random tabs open and your brain is fried? Click Stash in the popup. Everything moves to a “Scratch” workspace and your browser becomes clean again. Legend move.

  • Save & Close: Ending your day? Hit Save & Close. All tabs go into a workspace safely and your window clears. Zero guilt.

  • Notes & Quick Note: Add notes to any workspace. Need to paste something into ChatGPT fast? Open Quick Note, type or paste, and go.

  • Zen Mode: Feeling overwhelmed? Turn on Zen Mode. Beautiful wallpapers, minimal UI, instant calm. Your dashboard just became a vibe.

  • Import Your Old Stuff: Got tabs everywhere from OneTab, Workona, or Chrome groups? Use the Import Wizard. It usually takes under 60 seconds and doesn’t mess up what you already have.

 

Troubleshooting

Stuff not working? Let’s fix it quick.

  • Popup won’t open → Make sure the extension is pinned and enabled.

  • Workspaces not saving → Try refreshing the page or restarting your browser.

  • Import failing → Make sure you’re using a supported format (JSON, URL list, etc.).

  • Extension feels slow → Check your tab count. We recommend keeping workspaces under 50 tabs for best performance.

  • Multi-session not working → Remember it’s experimental and doesn’t work with Google Sign-In sites.

  • No cloud. No tracking. No servers.

  • Everything stays on your device.

  • We don’t collect any data. Ever.

  • When you uninstall NexaTabs, all your data is gone.

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Alt + Q → Instant switch to your Quick Target workspace (game changer)

  • Tab / Arrow keys → Navigate everything with keyboard only

  • Enter / Space → Activate buttons

Full keyboard navigation is supported everywhere.

Q: Is NexaTabs really free forever?

A: Yes. No premium tier, no subscription, no hidden paywalls. Everything you see right now is free.

 

Q: Does it collect any data?

A: Nope. Zero. All data stays on your device. We’re serious about this.

 

Q: Can I run multiple WhatsApp/Telegram accounts?

A: Yes — using Multi-Session mode. Just know it’s experimental and doesn’t work with Google Sign-In sites.


Q: How do I import my old tabs from OneTab or Workona?
A: Use the Import Wizard. It supports OneTab, Session Buddy, Workona, Toby, Chrome tab groups, and plain URL lists.


Q: Why is my browser using more memory?

A: Large workspaces (50+ tabs) can increase memory usage. Try using Stash mode or splitting big workspaces.

Q: Does Zen Mode actually help with focus?

A: A lot of people say yes. The clean interface + nice wallpapers make a surprising difference.

Q: Will my data be safe if I uninstall?

A: Yes. Uninstalling NexaTabs removes all associated data from your device.

Q: Can I use it on Firefox / Edge / Opera?

A: Coming very soon. We’re launching on Chrome first, then rolling out to the others.
